The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly true when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, deformation and torsional twisting of the body, resulting in reduced tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace increases the stiffness of the front section of the body and helps limit its twisting.
