The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is greater stress on the body, twisting and loss of tyre grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers, thereby increasing the rigidity of this part of the body.
