The Ultra Racing front strut brace for BMW 3 E46 has 2 mounting points. It is designed to increase body stiffness and reduce body flex during dynamic driving.
The car body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant deformation and body flex, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
