The vehicle’s chassis is exposed to heavy loads during fast driving, hard braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of body weight.
During fast cornering, the transfer of weight can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes the chassis to bend, deform and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the upper strut mounting points and helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
