The car chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This leads to significant twisting and bending of the chassis, or deformation of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the front section of the chassis.
