The vehicle body is exposed to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration due to weight transfer.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the body to bend and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and twist when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted flexing of the front section of the body.
