The vehicle body is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving, mainly due to weight transfer when cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the front section of the body.
