The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, especially due to weight transfer during rapid cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through corners, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and deform torsionally, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the front part of the body and limit its twisting.
