The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is high loads, body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and chassis twisting when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This is where Ultra Racing’s front upper strut brace comes in, helping to increase body stiffness around the upper strut mounting points.
