When cornering quickly, braking hard and accelerating, the vehicle body is subjected to significant loads due to the transfer of body mass.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This can cause the body to bend and twist, resulting in reduced tyre grip. Unwanted body deformation can also affect handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front struts and helps limit body twisting. The product is intended for the Ford Fiesta S (MK6.5) with a 1.0T engine and 2WD.
