The car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is especially true because of the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
During cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body shell, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace connects the mounting points at the top of the front suspension and helps reduce body flex.
