The vehicle bodywork is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly apparent due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace increases the stiffness of this area of the bodywork and helps limit its twisting.
