The car body is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, mainly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to increased body flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace connects the upper strut mounting points and helps reduce flexing of the front section of the body.
The product is intended for the listed Honda Civic X (FC1/FK4) and XI (FE) variants, including the 1.5T 2WD, 1.8 2WD and 1.5T 2WD Sedan engines, depending on the vehicle specification.
