The car body is subjected to heavy loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration due to weight transfer.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, resulting in loss of tyre grip.
Body flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace connects the mounting points of the front struts and helps increase body stiffness.
