The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of weight when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the body while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace helps increase body rigidity around the upper strut mounting points.
