The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high chassis loads, body flex and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce body flex.
- Design: front strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Jaguar XJ VI (X308).
