The vehicle body is the part of the car most exposed to the loads generated while driving. These are particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in significant deformation and body flex, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace connects the mounting points at the top of the front dampers and contributes to greater rigidity in this part of the body.
