A car’s body is exposed to heavy loads during high-speed driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more heavily than the other. This results in body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front suspension and reduce unwanted body movement.
