The car body is the part of the vehicle that is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can cause considerable twisting and deformation of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps increase the rigidity of the front part of the body.
- Design: front strut brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Mazda 2 III (DJ).
