A car’s bodywork is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the bodywork to bend and twist, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the bodywork.
