The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest stress during sporty driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This places significant stress on the body, causing it to flex and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body flex and twist during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and increase the stiffness of the front section of the body.
- Product: front strut brace
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Mercedes-Benz A-Class I (W168).
