The vehicle chassis is exposed to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in considerable twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace connects the upper strut mounting points and helps limit body twisting in this area.
