The car body is subjected to high loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in the body bending and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body bending and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps connect the mounting points and increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
