The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass when cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to three times more load than the other. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front strut brace helps further connect the front strut mounting points and increase the rigidity of this part of the chassis.
