The car’s bodywork is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to weight transfer through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high loads, flexing and twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Flexing and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace helps reduce unwanted flexing of the front section of the bodywork.
