The vehicle bodywork is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can cause considerable twisting and bending of the bodywork, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Bodywork twisting and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the bodywork.
