The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This creates heavy loads, bending and twisting of the chassis, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front suspension and helps increase the stiffness of this section of the bodywork. The product has 2 mounting points and is intended for the Porsche Cayenne (92A) with a 3.0 V6 engine and four-wheel drive.
