The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to high loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through corners, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This causes the chassis to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the connection between the upper mounting points of the front dampers.
