The vehicle body is exposed to high loads during fast driving. These loads occur mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting when cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps connect the upper suspension mounting points and reduce unwanted body movement.
