During fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration, the vehicle body is subjected to significant loads due to weight transfer. The front strut brace connects the strut mounting points and helps reduce body flex.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause the body to bend and twist, resulting in reduced tyre grip.
Excessive chassis flex can also affect handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing brace is designed to increase the stiffness of the front section of the body during dynamic driving.
