The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s mass when taking corners quickly, braking hard or accelerating.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded with up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater body flex and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when driving through a corner can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front strut brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front struts and increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
