The vehicle body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in considerable body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace connects the mounting points of the upper strut mounts and helps reduce unwanted body movement.
