The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads while driving, especially due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flexing while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace connects the mounting points of the upper strut mounts and helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the body.
