The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, vehicle weight transfer affects the bodywork.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can lead to increased bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the upper suspension mounting points and helps limit such bodywork movement.
The product is intended for the Toyota C-HR (AX-10), model year 2018–, with 1.2T 2WD, 1.2T 4WD, 1.8 2WD and 1.8 2WD HYBRID engines.
