In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Flexing and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
