A car’s body is exposed to considerable loads during fast driving. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body flexing while driving through corners can also cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The front strut brace connects the upper suspension mounting points and helps reduce unwanted body movement. The product has 2 mounting points.
Compatibility is limited to the Toyota Starlet with the 1.3T-4E engine and 2WD, and the Toyota Tercel with the 1.5 engine and 2WD.
Suitable for: Toyota Starlet IV (P8) / V (P9), Toyota Tercel V (L50).
