The car’s body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant bending and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Flexing and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The front upper strut brace helps further connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and reduce unwanted body movement.
