The vehicle body is exposed to heavy loads during fast driving, mainly due to weight transfer during rapid cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Body flexing during cornering can lead to poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the front section of the body.
