The car body is the part subjected to the greatest stress while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This causes significant body flex and deformation, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The front upper strut brace helps further connect the mounting points of the upper strut mounts and reduce body flex.
- Number of mounting points: 2
