The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. These loads mainly result from the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through corners, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and body flex, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace additionally connects the strut mounting points and helps increase the stiffness of the front part of the body.
- Product: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: BMW 3 IV (E46).
