The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can result in one side of the vehicle being subjected to 3 times greater force than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper suspension mounting points and helps reduce body flex.
