The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high loads, body flex and torsional deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and flexing of the chassis when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and contributes to greater rigidity of the front section of the body.
- Number of mounting points: 2
- Suitable for the 2.0TT 4WD and 3.0 4WD engines
Suitable for: BMW X3 II (F25).
