The car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly true due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce body twisting.
