The chassis or body of a car is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant twisting and deformation of the body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis in corners can cause unwanted driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
Ultra Racing’s strut brace helps to reduce unwanted body flex. The brace is designed for front upper mounting and has 2 mounting points.
