When driving at high speed, braking hard and accelerating, the vehicle body is exposed to significant loads, primarily due to the transfer of body weight.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Body flex when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace increases the stiffness of this part of the body and helps limit its flexing.
