The car bodywork is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of bodywork weight during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more heavily than the other. This results in significant loads on the bodywork, causing it to flex and twist, which can lead to the tyres losing grip.
Bodywork flex and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to provide an additional connection between the upper mounting points of the front dampers, thereby reinforcing the bodywork.
