The vehicle body is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads due to driving style. This is particularly noticeable when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or sharp acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater twisting and bending of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
