The car’s bodywork is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and intense acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
During cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in bodywork twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps reduce flexing of the upper part of the bodywork during dynamic driving.
