The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times greater force than the other. This results in increased bending and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis bending and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
