The car body is subjected to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When driving through corners, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause the body to twist and the chassis to flex, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
The brace connects the upper mounts of the front dampers and helps reduce unwanted twisting of the front section of the body. This can improve vehicle responsiveness and reduce the tendency to understeer or oversteer.
